Constance D. Smith

Constance D. Smith provides legal and tax planning for estate preservation and disposition, lifetime and death wealth transfers, business succession, philanthropic giving and probate administration. Working with closely held businesses, wealthy families and complex estates, she creates advisor teams from the firm's various areas of legal expertise and with professionals outside the firm, to maximize the value added to each client.

Connie is experienced in designing unique multi-generational plans using custom wills, trusts, partnerships and nonprofit entities to accomplish the integration of wealth transfers, individual values, family dynamics and tax benefits. Connie also provides legal advice on specialized trusts to preserve assets for intended beneficiaries, incapacity planning and integration of marital agreements, retirement plans and life insurance with wealth transfer, charitable giving and business succession plans.

Connie is the author of many articles, a frequent speaker and an editor of the "Trust and Estate Section" for the Colorado Lawyer.
