Mr. Joyce devotes his practice to civil litigation in state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He handles litigation matters at all levels of trial courts, arbitration forums, and appeals courts. Many of Mr. Joyce's cases involve real estate and employment litigation. He also represents a wide variety of litigants in many other areas, including securities, partnership dissolution, minority shareholders rights, construction, consumer law, automobile dealer/manufacturer disputes, trade secrets, and will contests. Mr. Joyce has also developed expertise in qui tam litigation, successfully representing several whistleblowers in federal False Claims Act cases. In addition, Mr. Joyce represents a wide array of telecommunications and energy-related industry participants before the Colorado Public Utilities Commission.

Mr. Joyce is a frequent teacher in the fields of civil procedure, litigation techniques and ethics. Mr. Joyce has been on the faculty of the Western Regional Program of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), a lecturer in basic practice skills at the University of Denver College of Law, and currently teaches the Colorado-specific portion of jurisdiction and civil procedure for the Colorado Bar Refresher. He is also co-chair of the Colorado Bar Association Communications Law Section and a member of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law Alumni Council.

Mr. Joyce was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and lived in New Jersey until he moved to Colorado in 1977. He enjoys listening to music, reading, hiking, aquatic sports, and traveling with his family.
