Scott has extensive experience in matters including:
- general commercial litigation
- secured transactions
- foreclosures
- real estate
- creditors' bankruptcy rights
Prior to law school, Scott was employed by General Electric Capital Corporation, Commercial Equipment Financing, with joint responsibility for a $3.1 billion secured loan portfolio.
Scott's writing credits include several articles based on his experience in real estate and commercial law. He has been published in The Colorado Lawyer and the Maine Bar Journal.
He began his legal career as law clerk to the Honorable Leif M. Clark, United States Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Texas and subsequently spent six years in private practice in Portland, Maine.
