Andrew J. Helm

Andrew J. Helm is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice group, where he focuses his practice on a variety of commercial and complex legal matters, including insurance, regulatory, municipal, and general business litigation.  Andrew also represents individuals and businesses in administrative matters concerning state and national regulators, including the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.

Prior to joining the firm, Andrew worked in the Colorado insurance industry for 15 years, culminating in a position with the Colorado Division of Insurance. Andrew was a Rate and Financial Analyst in the Division's Compliance and Investigations unit, where he conducted producer and agency investigations, advised the Commissioner of Insurance on enforcement actions and market research, reported Division activities to the Colorado General Assembly, and developed and implemented regulatory policy and legislative agendas. Notably, Andrew spearheaded an industry-collaborative overhaul of the Colorado title insurance regulations in 2010, much of which has carried over to the current regulations in effect today.
