Bio
Jackson’s real estate practice spans both private and public aspects of development, including obtaining development approvals, reforming land development codes, and assisting local governments and developers navigate complex land use regulations.
Drawing on his years of experience as a design professional, Jackson is uniquely positioned to tackle novel legal issues as well as common hurdles in the development cycle. He helps clients with purchase and sale agreements, regulatory due diligence, zoning entitlements, subdivision approvals, annexation and disconnection agreements, easements, and contracts for construction. This work involves research, drafting, collaboration with the development team, neighborhood meetings, and administrative and/or judicial appeals as necessary.
Before joining Fairfield and Woods, Jackson worked for eight years as a designer in local Denver architecture firms where he worked on a variety of housing developments, educational facilities, and community engagement. Jackson’s real estate practice is informed by the years spent in the architecture conceptualizing 3D environments and navigating complex development review and code compliance.
