The FW Foundation was established in 2020 with the goal of helping our Colorado community in four main areas that were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic – education, homelessness and food insecurity, diversity, and mental health. Since 2020, the FW Foundation has donated almost $70,000 to over 75 nonprofits throughout Colorado.

FW lawyers and staff are an integral part of our community outreach! They donate their time through paid volunteer time off and their own funds which are matched up to $150 per person per year by the FW Foundation.

Volunteer Highlights:

  • Pride 5K – The FW Foundation sponsored a team of FW employees and family members in the Denver Pride 5K supporting The Center on Colfax, a nonprofit rooted in creating inclusion and safety for the LGBTQIA+ community.
  • Rebuilding Colorado – The FW Foundation sponsored a retired Navy veteran and spent a day repairing and sprucing up his home through Rebuilding Colorado, a nonprofit working to repair, revitalize, and rebuild homes for low-income homeowners to help them safely age in place.
  • The Gathering Place – A group of FW volunteers cooked and served breakfast to a group at The Gathering Place, Denver’s only daytime shelter for women, children, and transgender/non-binary individuals experiencing poverty.
  • Food Bank of the Rockies – A group of FW volunteers helped pack over 4,000 bags of food to help Colorado families in need.
  • Denver Art Museum –A group of FW volunteers assembled Art Lives Here Creativity Kits providing opportunities for art-making, intercultural and intergenerational dialogue, and community-building for children and seniors across Colorado.
